Annelien spent the week in Boston and New York City. She spent time with her parents in Boston. Her father Herman is teaching Spinoza to clever Harvard students and Annelien told me her mother Marianne is taking all sorts of interesting classes about Egyptian hieroglyphs, pottery, …
Annelien also spent a lot of time travelling to her friends to visit their newborn babies. There’s been a baby boom recently and she visited the cute little Noam in Boston, and the equally handsome little Leo in New York City. On Friday night, I drove to San Francisco Airport to pick her up. She had had a great, but very chilly week. According to her, the East Coast is only a little bit warmer than Antarctica. She was exhausted and couldn’t believe it was so warm in San Francisco.
In the context of our “Blending In While Eating Out” campaign, we went to a Vietnamese Pho place. Pho is a beef broth, though you can find vegetarian versions as well. On this picture, Annelien shows us the spicy sauce that she loves so much.
